…is to establish resilient and affordable development, healthy communities, and encourage the preservation of our natural environment, and implement policies that will promote the sustainable growth of our communities grow in a sustainable manner and build an open and honest Council with strong principals and proper leadership who holds themselves accountable to the needs of Whitchurch-Stouffville residents.

About Mark
Mark has lived in Whitchurch-Stouffville for 35 years with more than 30 years actively serving his community:
Mark was a founding member of the Friends of Musselman’s Lake which was an active community organization from 1992 to 2005. In those years, Mark helped to establish clean drinking water and created programs to educate the public on healthy living methods and the importance of the preservation of our community’s (or communities’ if you want community to be possessive plural) natural environment.
Mark was also active for 10+ years in the sports community through coaching and organizing baseball and soccer.
As the Ward 2 Councillor for 6 years, 1997 to 2003, Mark was involved in many different aspects of community life. Some of the positions Mark held were,
- Council Representative of the Rouge Park Alliance
- Heritage Advisory Committee member
- Environmental Advisory Committee member
- Council liaison to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Library Board
Mark served as a Volunteer Firefighter for 18 years, rising to the rank of Captain and Instructor for Whitchurch-Stouffville Fire and Emergency Services. Mark also served as the Chair on the Stouffville Volunteer Firefighters Association.
Mark was the Certified Arborist in the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Works Department from 2016 to 2022.
